This project was funded by a grant from the Scottish Government’s International Development Fund, from 2010 to 2012.
The project facilitates women to work together to understand their rights and make informed decisions that will improve their lives through active change. Although the project works with men and youth, its primary focus is on women’s rights, providing the space for participatory discussions on topics including democracy, anti-corruption and good accountable governance.
The project has reached out to over 600 women (including 50 female elected representatives) and 400 youth in low-income contexts, including villages in Karnataka, a bio-farm and a Bangalore slum.
