Memory Manyozo lives in Chikabvumbwa village, Ntcheu District. She is 30 years old, is married and has 2 children. Memory has leg length deficiency. She used to do subsistence farming, making about 10,000mk (or £10) per month. She took part in the tailoring training in Ntcheu, graduating in 2021. Memory received 6 months training in tailoring, business, reproductive health, gender awareness, HIV+AIDS prevention organic manure production training. When she graduated, Memory received a sewing machine, some materials and a solar panel. She now operates her tailoring business outside her mother’s house and the family have an increased income of 40,000mk per month. Memory has been able to fund the construction of a new house for the family and has bought chickens. She is happy to be a tailor – life is now easier. Memory has managed to save money. Her family makes organic manure and have seen their yield increase as a result.
